Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) stated that the total number of contracts via Marn platform reached more than 10,000, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.

The ministry added that it targets 57,000 flexible contracts via the platform by the end of 2022.

In August 2020, Ahmed Al-Rajhi, Saudi Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, launched mrn.sa, platform to register flexible work contracts between employees and employers, according to data compiled by Argaam.

The flexible work is the work performed by a part-time employee, and the wage is calculated on an hourly basis, provided that the employee's working hours with a single employer are less than half the working hours at the facility.

The flexible work contracts are limited to Saudis only.
