Saudi Arabia’s Digital Government Authority (DGA) announced today the digital government policy, which is an important step towards meeting the needs of beneficiaries, as well as enabling and accelerating the sustainable digital transformation of the public sector to achieve the goals of the Vision 2030.

On its official Twitter account, the authority explained that the digital government policy consists of four main pillars:

Participation: It includes transparency, cooperation, data, privacy, availability and exchange of information, involvement of civil society and comprehensiveness.

Transformation: Digital modernization, institutional operational model, corporate technology governance and shared resources.

Capabilities: This includes enabling beneficiaries, technical capabilities, digital skills, management capabilities, business capabilities and overall capabilities.

Governance: It includes adherence to policies and standards, policy design, responsibility, stakeholder engagement, digital government products and service delivery.

DGA’s governor, Ahmed Alsuwaiyan, said that the authority seeks, through digital government policy, to create a comprehensive system that focuses on beneficiaries and facilitates the digital transformation of the public sector by strengthening its capabilities and renewing governance models to achieve the digital government's goals.

During a ceremony to announce the digital government policy and register the most prominent digital government platforms, he added that DGA is committed to the governance of digital platforms in order to enhance the experience of beneficiaries to reach a proactive digital government and an initiative that achieves the desired development of Saudi society.

He noted that the authority is also working to reach advanced levels of digital maturity in the public sector, optimize the investment of outstanding assets and improve the operational efficiency of all services and platforms.
