Credit facilities extended by the banking sector and finance firms in Saudi Arabia to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) amounted to about SAR 198.2 billion by the end of Q2 2021, an increase of 25% year-on-year (YoY) from SAR 158.03 billion.
The value of financing extended by the banking sector amounted to SAR 184.8 billion, or 93% of total facilities, while the finance firms offered SAR 13.5 billion, or 7% of total facilities, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).
