Aslak signs MoU for potential stake acquisition in Thamar Nutrition

United Wire Factories Co. (Aslak) signed, on Oct. 21, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Thamar Nutrition and Subsistence Co. to potentially acquire a stake in the latter, upon reaching a final agreement between the two parties.

The company said in a bourse statement that the MoU aims to set the preliminary obligations and rights between the two parties regarding the acquisition, so that the implementation will be in accordance with the proposals and agreements approved by both parties. 

The two sides also agreed to determine the value of the final deal after completing the evaluation and due diligence work.

The MoU will be valid for 90 days from the signing date, subject to renewal with the approval of both parties.

The financial impact will be determined after the final evaluation is completed, as the MoU is non-binding for both parties.

The potential deal comes as a strategic direction for Aslak that aims to diversify sources of income and maximize its profitability through its various investments.

Any significant developments regarding this matter or the proposed acquisition will be announced in due course.
