BinDawood Holding says subsidiary lawsuit to be heard on Nov. 9

BinDawood Holding Co. received on Oct. 31, the date for the first session in the lawsuit filed by Arab Dalla Co. against its subsidiary Danube Company for Foodstuffs & Commodities (Danube), which will be heard on Nov. 9, the company said in a bourse statement.

The Tadawul-listed firm assures its strong legal position based on the legal confirmation given by its external lawyer.

BinDawood will keep its shareholders updated on the development of the case.

In March, BinDawood announced the dismissal of the patent infringement case against its subsidiary, Danube Company for Foodstuffs & Commodities, by Arab Dalla Co. before the Commercial Court of Jeddah during the first hearing on March 10, 2021, Argaam reported.

In February, the company announced that Arab Dalla Co. filed a lawsuit against one of its subsidiaries, Danube, for patent infringement, seeking a compensation of SAR 124.13 million and legal fees of SAR 300,000.

In August, BinDawood announced that Arab Dalla Co. submitted an appeal against the verdict issued by the Court of First Instance in the lawsuit against its subsidiary Danube for patent infringement.
