Saudi bank loans to public, private sectors jump 16% to SAR 2.077 trln in September

Saudi bank loans granted to the public and private sectors increased 16% by the end of September to SAR 2.0773 trillion, compared to SAR 1.7897 trillion a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

Private sector lending also rose 15% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 1.986 trillion for the same month.

Meanwhile, loans granted to non-financial public sector’s institutions amounted to about SAR 91.6 billion at the end of September, an increase of 39%, compared to the same period in 2020.
