Minister of Hajj Tawfik Al-Rabiah
The Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfik Al-Rabiah said that the private sector in Makkah and Madinah has suffered a lot from the COVID-19 pandemic, due to its dependence on Umrah and Hajj activities that slumped during that period, and negatively impacted its capabilities.
"We are in the process of recovering from the pandemic, getting out with a strong economy, and preserving the health and safety of all, Al-Rabiah said, during a meeting with businessmen and investors in the Hajj and Umrah sector at the Chamber of Commerce in Makkah today.
The minister stressed the importance of the public-private partnership, indicating that the Kingdom is experiencing a major renaissance across all fields, with a major goal of expanding Hajj and Umrah services, and improving the experience of pilgrims in performing Umrah, Hajj and the visit to Madinah.
Al-Rabiah also highlighted the efforts made to strengthen and develop the role of the private sector as a strategic partner in Makkah and Madinah to serve pilgrims in an effective and distinguished manner.
