Saudi Arabia has administered 47.9 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to date, of which 469,000 were activated, according to the latest official data issued by the Ministry of Health.
The number of persons who received the first and second doses reached 24.7 million and 22.7 million, respectively. Meanwhile, a total of 1.725 million aged persons were vaccinated.
On Dec. 17, the ministry launched the first phase of COVID-19 vaccination campaign, followed by the second phase on Feb. 18.
