Government agencies contribute to achieving SAR 120 bln savings in 2021: EXPRO CEO

Abdulrazzaq bin Subhi Al-Aujan, CEO of the Expenditure and Projects Efficiency Authority (EXPRO), said that, since the launch of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, government agencies have contributed strongly to achieving savings of more than SAR 530 billion, including SAR 120 billion for the year 2021.
 

Al-Aujan indicated that these savings were redirected to expenditures that serve the developmental goals and priority projects to serve the interest of the country and citizens, as well as to reduce project days in general by more than 3,500 days, Saudi Press Agency reported.
 

The authority will work towards increasing the effectiveness of the transformation plan, through the cooperation of government agencies, in proportion to their needs, while continuing to strive towards raising the quality of infrastructure, by finding the drivers that ensure efficiency, effectiveness and governance in the performance of public agencies. This is in addition to developing the capabilities and raising readiness, as well as building methodologies and tools and supporting the initiative to localize operation and maintenance contracts, and raising the efficiency and skill of those working under government contracts, to ensure the speedy delivery of services to citizens, said the top official.
