The Future Aviation Forum begins today, May 9, under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz. The three-day forum is hosted by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) at King Abdulaziz Conference Center (KACC) in Riyadh.
“The forum is a unique international event in the civil aviation sector. It is a good opportunity for sharing knowledge and ideas, and determining the best practices to go in tandem with the accelerated developments in the aviation market,” said GACA President Abdulaziz Al-Duailej in a statement.
It will mark an important change in the civil aviation industry locally and globally, in light of its outcomes, mainly streamlining measures and policies of health requirements to support the sector’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The forum will witness multibillion-riyal deals. More than 50 agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed. Many policies and strategies in the civil aviation sector will be launched, in addition to the signing of a large number of partnerships between the public and private sectors.
The event will feature 2,000 attendees from 60 countries. More than 4,000 people registered in the forum, Al-Duailej added.
The theme of the forum is ‘innovation, sustainability, growth’, reflecting both the key challenges and areas of greatest opportunity for the global aviation sector.
