Saudi bank loans to public, private sectors grow 14% to SAR 2.249 trln in April

Saudi bank loans granted to public and private sectors rose 14% by the end of April to SAR 2.249 trillion, compared to SAR 1.965 trillion a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

Private-sector lending also went up by 14% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 2.153 trillion for the same month.

Meanwhile, loans granted to public non-financial institutions increased 20% YoY to about SAR 96.7 billion by the end of April.
