Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Competition (GAC) gave the green light for Oracle’s acquisition of a 100% stake in Cerner.

In a statement, the authority said that Cerner operates in information technology and medical software.

Last December, Oracle announced that it is nearing a deal to acquire healthcare information technology group Cerner, which creates electronic medical records, for about $28.3 billion, to cement its position in the health sector.
