Non-oil foreign trade between the UAE and Saudi Arabia has grown by 92.5% over the past 10 years, reaching AED 124.7 billion by the end of 2021, compared to AED 64.79 billion in 2012.
The volume of trade exchange between the two countries in the first half of 2022 reached AED 65.7 billion, according to the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Center.
Total non-oil exports from the UAE to Saudi Arabia in the past 10 years hit about AED 205.5 billion, while re-exports reached AED 471.7 billion and imports totaled AED 227 billion.
Saudi Arabia ranked fourth on the list of trading partners of the UAE in the past 10 years, with an estimated value of AED 904.3 billion, or 5.6% of the total trade exchange between the UAE and the world between 2012 and 2021.
The Kingdom ranked first on the list of countries receiving re-exports from the UAE in the past 10 years, recording a value of nearly AED 423 billion, contributing 9.4% of total re-exports.
Saudi Arabia ranked second on the list of the major receiving countries for the UAE's non-oil exports, valued at AED 206 billion and making 9.5% of the UAE's total non-oil exports in the same period.
