Saudi Arabia’s merchandise imports rose 18% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 55.1 billion in July 2022, according to data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
Imports for July fell month-on-month by SAR 5.77 billion, or 9%, as shown below:

Saudi Arabia’s largest imports came from China, amounting to SAR 12.05 billion and accounting for 22% of the total value of imports in July.
The US and the UAE came in second and third with a share of 8% and 7%, respectively.
