The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 646 new industrial licenses at a total value of SAR 18 billion in the first eight months of 2022.
In the August bulletin, the ministry indicated that 811 factories started production during the eight-month period at SAR 22.4 billion investments. The industrial sector provided more than 35,000 jobs, 18,000 of which were for nationals.
Year to August, the industrial sector has SAR 1.370 trillion investments and 10,707 factories.
Until August-end, the total number of valid mineral licenses stood at 2,159. These licenses include 1,367 for building materials quarries, 558 for exploration, 168 for exploitation, 37 for reconnaissance and 29 for surplus lines.
