Saudi Minister of Commerce Majid AlKassabi

Saudi Minister of Commerce Majid AlKassabi said the Law on Trade Remedies in International Trade will help enhance the competitiveness of national products and attract investments, Saudi Press Agency reported.

He added that the law contributes to the establishment of new industries, which accordingly increases job opportunities and achieves Vision 2030 goals.

The law aims to protect the local industry from the damage resulting from dumped and subsidized imports, as well as to prevent the damage arising from the increase in imports by imposing measures against these imports on the Kingdom's customs borders and defending against the Saudi exports that are subject to trade remedies.

The Saudi Cabinet chaired by King Salaman approved on Nov. 22 the Law on Trade Remedies in International Trade, according to data available with Argaam.
