NDF approves HADAF's new strategy

The board of directors of the National Development Fund (NDF) has approved the new strategy of the Saudi Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF), which came in response to the changes and challenges of the labor market and the need to improve its efficiency.

This also came line with and will contribute to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

HADAF's Director General Turki Al-Jawini said the new strategy will support the development of national human capital, employment sustainability and motivation of the private sector to contribute to Saudization, according to Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

It also reflected the efforts of the relevant authorities to support the training, qualification, employment and empowerment of national cadres, while boosting their competitiveness and efficiency in the labor market. It is set to contribute to the development of their knowledge and professional skills and capabilities, he added.

The fund works in integration with the Kingdom’s human resources system and the private sector to keep pace with any shifts or changes in the labor market.
 

This resulted in the launch of the new strategy, which is based on three main pillars: Supporting the development of human resources to comply with the labor market’s needs, bridging the supply and demand gap for jobs and enabling sustainable employment for those facing challenges to tap or stay in the labor market.
 

The programs have been reshaped to comprise eight products that are designed to meet public needs, while reaching a comprehensive beneficiary experience. This includes a training support program, an on-the-job training program, e-training, vocational guidance, job matching, income support, empowerment and job seekers subsidy, which fall under three main axes: guidance, training and empowerment.
 

The new strategy takes into account the classification of sectors based on growth, productivity and localization levels. This in addition to redesigning support and empowerment programs, initiatives and incentives to come in line with the requirements and needs of the labor market.
 

It should support the alignment of qualifications with market needs and changes, fill the gap in the skills and productivity of the national workforce, while raising the efficiency and contribution of national cadres to work in private-sector establishments.
