Expat remittances from Saudi Arabia retreat to SAR 11.2 bln in October

Remittances from expatriates in Saudi Arabia saw a 17% year-on-year (YoY) decline to SAR 11.24 billion in October, according to recent data released by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, remittances from expats in Saudi Arabia dropped 0.8%, or SAR 94 million.

Meanwhile, remittances by Saudi nationals to other countries rose 8% YoY to SAR 5.94 billion in October, the lowest in more than a year.
