Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman

Saudi energy minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman opened today, Feb. 4, the 44th International Association for Energy. Economics (IAEE) in Riyadh.

In his speech at the opening of the four-day conference, Prince Abdulaziz underlined the importance of the presence of economic experts in energy sectors.

He added that the most important lesson he learnt was his confidence in OPEC+, especially as energy decisions are kept away of political reality. He added that some were expecting that OPEC+ will not meet again and will not take right decisions.

On the clean energy level, Prince Abdulaziz said the Kingdom is the largest producer of low-cost renewable energy, affirming that it will reach almost the same position in green, blue and purple hydrogen.

The conference is held King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC).

Held under the theme of “Pathways to a Clean, Stable and Sustainable Energy Future”, the conference gathers many policymakers, academies, companies and non-governmental organizations.
