Methanol Chemicals Co. (Chemanol) announced the resumption of operations at its methanol and amine plants as of today, March 14, after being closed for a 17-day periodic maintenance, according to a Tadawul statement.

“All the required works were completed according to the scheduled plan, which will enhance the two plants’ efficiency and increase their reliability in commensuration with the company’s future operational plans,” the statement added.

The financial impact of this shutdown will be reflected in Chemanol’s Q1 2023 financials. The necessary actions have already been taken to eliminate any potential impact on customers, it noted.

Last month, Chemanol revealed its plan to temporarily halt its methanol and amine plants for the scheduled 17-day periodic maintenance, starting Feb. 25, according to Argaam’s data.
