Turkey expects that its trade exchange with Saudi Arabia will reach $10 billion by the end of 2023, and rise higher in 2024, Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş said on the sidelines of the Turkey-Saudi Business and Investment Forum in Riyadh today, March 19.

Several Turkish companies are gearing up for the investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia, especially in building, construction and manufacturing sectors, the Turkish Minister added.

The Minister spoke of the Saudi economy boom, fostered by Saudi Vision 2030, as the Kingdom attracted several investments including from Turkish companies.

The factors that affect the investment attractiveness in Turkey are the country’s Customs Union membership, and the population of 85 million, Muş said, noting that the Turkish economy grew 6%.

He added that there are investment opportunities in petrochemicals, energy, and digital economy, available for the Saudi private sector firms.

Muş described his meeting with the Saudi Minister of Commerce as “very fruitful”.
