Bank loans to public, private sectors up 13% in February

Saudi bank loans granted to public and private sectors rose 13% by the end of February to SAR 2.459 trillion, compared to SAR 2.18 trillion a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

Private sector lending also increased by 11% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 2.3 trillion for the same month.

Meanwhile, loans granted to public non-financial institutions jumped 45% YoY to about SAR 138.2 billion by the end of February.
