The US House of Representatives
The House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a bill to suspend the US debt ceiling until 2025.
The measure easily passed the chamber by a vote of 314-117.
The US Senate must vote on the bill later this week before President Joe Biden can sign it into law within five days maximum.
Biden welcomed this step, adding the House of Representatives took a step forward to avert a US default for the first time.
