Argaam Investment Co., the founder and operator of Argaam.com financial portal, recently signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) with the Saudi Economic Association (SEA), with the aim of publishing scientific economics and creating qualitative economic content.

Argaam Financial Portal is the main provider of economic and financial data on the Saudi Exchange and other stock markets across the Gulf region. Argaam.com financial portal provides the investors and financial analysts community in the Kingdom and the Arab Gulf countries with an enormous financial data, mirroring the pulse of stock markets across the region and the world around the clock.

At Argaam Investment’s headquarters in Riyadh, the MoC was inked in the presence of Argaam Acting CEO, Anwar Banafea, other Argaam officials, SEA’s Chairperson, Norah Al-Yousef, SEA’s board secretary, Ahmed Al-Rajhi, and SEA’s Executive Director, Hadeel Al-Thunayan.

In 1985 AD, SEA was established under the initiative of the Department of Economics at King Saud University. SEA is interested in issuing a peer-reviewed scientific journal that includes papers and research specifically concerned with the Saudi economy.

It also holds public lectures and panel discussions, hosting officials for more talks on various economic issues.

Commenting on the agreement, Anwar Banafea said, "Since the launch of Argaam portal in March 2007, the team has taken upon itself to publish meaningful economic and financial content that simplifies economic concepts for readers and sheds light on emerging issues as well."

"We consider this agreement as a complement to the team's efforts of creating qualitative economic content," Banafea noted.

On the other hand, Norah Al-Yousef said, "We, in the SEA, are delighted to sign this memorandum of cooperation with Argaam Investment Co. for the gains it achieves for all of us, especially as the implementation of this memorandum will allow the association to expand further in publishing its scientific research."

She added that the move will also help activate the SEA's role in spreading economic and financial knowledge as well as awareness in the Kingdom.

The deal aims to exchange the scientific research, information, and data, as well as republish the scientific journal and research issued by SEA on the various platforms of Argaam. It also seeks to establish workshops and joint events, as well as make special coverage of the various meetings and activities of the association.
