Horizon Food Co.’s board of directors terminated the employment contract of CEO Mohammed AlShetwey, effective as of the decision date, Sept. 27.
In a statement to Tadawul, the company pointed out that the board approved to assign the CEO duties to Ahmed Alarfaj, starting Sept. 28, 2023, for a period of three months.
Alarfaj is the company’s Vice Chairman and Managing Director, the statement added, noting that he holds a bachelor’s degree in Islamic studies from King Faisal University. His experience in the food field exceeds two decades, including 10 years in food industry.
Moreover, he is the founder of the company and served as its executive director from 2018 to 2022, before the company was transformed into a joint-stock company, where he served as CEO until April 30.
