Al Gassim Investment Holding Co.’s (GACO) board of directors named, on Oct. 4, Faisal Alkhamis (independent member) as Managing Director, according to a statement to Tadawul.
Al-Khamis’ membership status will be amended to an executive member as of Nov. 1, 2023 until April 30, 2024, the statement added.
Alkhamis holds a PhD in public policy, administration, and economics from the US-based University of Mississippi, in addition to a master's degree in public administration from the University of Maine.
The new Managing Director served as a faculty member in the Faculty of Economics and Administration at Qassim University. He was also the Secretary-General of the Qassim Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Moreover, he worked for the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) as well as the Heritage Commission.
Al-Khamis has proven practical experience in the fields of management consulting, program supervision, business development, as well as administrative and financial affairs.
In addition, he is a member in multiple committees of the region, including Qassim’s.
