Loans to private, non-financial govt entities rise to SAR 2.6 trln in September

Saudi bank loans granted to non-financial government institutions and private sector rose 10% by the end of September to SAR 2.62 trillion, compared to nearly SAR 2.38 trillion a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

Private sector lending also increased by 9% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 2.47 trillion for the same month.

Meanwhile, loans granted to public non-financial institutions jumped 21% YoY to about SAR 145.1 billion by the end of June.
