Taiba Investments appoints Badr Al Issa as Chairman

Taiba Investment Co.’s board appointed Badr Al-Issa (non-executive member) at its meeting held on Dec. 31, 2023, as the company’s Chairman and Anas Serafi (non-executive member) as Vice Chairman, according to a statement to Tadawul.

The board also formed its sub-committees, in accordance with the approved duties and responsibilities, the statement added.

The board also appointed the board secretary for the new term, and representatives of the company to the Capital Market Authority and the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul).

Moreover, the board secretary and the company’s representatives to the Capital Market Authority and the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) were also appointed.

In a separate statement, the company noted that the new elected board accepted the resignation of CEO Saleh Al-Habdan, and named him as Managing Director as of Jan. 1.

Meanwhile, Sultan Al-Otaibi took over as the company’s CEO starting today, Jan. 1.

Taiba Investments pointed out that Al-Otaibi holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from King Saud University, and a master’s degree in hotel management from the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management accredited by the University of Lausanne in Switzerland, in addition to a number of specialized programs and courses from Cornell School of Hotel Administration, USA.

The company further added that Al-Otaibi has more than 20 years of experience in hotels and real estate and has held a number of leading positions in Dur Hospitality Co., most recently as CEO of the company.
