Saudi Arabian banknotes
Saudi bank loans granted to non-financial government institutions and the private sector rose 11% to SAR 2.70 trillion in January 2024, compared to nearly SAR 2.43 trillion in January 2023, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

Private sector lending also increased by 11% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 2.54 trillion for the same month.
Meanwhile, loans granted to public non-financial institutions jumped 15% YoY to about SAR 156.3 billion by the end of January.
