Tadawul had approved amendments to the Short-Selling Regulations and the Securities Borrowing and Lending (SBL) Regulations, which came into effect on March 6, 2022.
A short-selling transaction means any sale of a listed security that is borrowed sufficiently to match the selling order, or the seller has exercisable and unconditional rights to borrow, in accordance with the SBL Regulations.
Entering into short-sale transactions as a seller with any of the persons permitted to invest in the market is permitted, in accordance with the relevant executive regulations and market rules.
