The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) announced the beginning of real estate registrations in seven areas, including 18 neighborhoods, in Riyadh and Makkah.
Registrations will continue until Aug. 29, 2024, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The authority explained that the beneficiary neighborhoods in Riyadh are Al-Mahdiyah, Al-Khuzama, Irqah, Dhahrat Laban, Al-Sefarat, Namar, Al-Marwah, Shubra, Badr, and Al-Shifa.
In Makkah, the beneficiary neighborhoods include parts of Al Safwah, Dar Al Salam, and Al-Hijrah neighborhoods, as well as the Thakher project, which includes Al Jummayzah and Ray'zakhir neighborhoods.
Makkah Path project’s first section is also among the beneficiary areas, which includes part of the Al Nuzha and Al-Rusaifah neighborhoods, as well as Jabal Omar project, including the northern Jarham neighborhood.
REGA pointed out that the neighborhoods were selected according to specific criteria, and the remaining areas and neighborhoods that will benefit from the real estate registry will be announced.
The authority called on the owners of properties located within the areas that benefit from the real estate registry to verify the property’s title deed and the availability of the necessary requirements (an updated electronic instrument issued by the Ministry of Justice, with complete data that meets the ownership requirements), and to register their properties on the real estate registry platform. Beneficiaries can contact the customer service center to inquire about registration procedures and steps.
Starting from the date set for the start of registration, an ownership registration instrument will be issued for each real estate unit that is registered, REGA noted, adding that the new ownership registration instrument will include the property’s data, description, use, condition, and subsequent rights and obligations, and data of its owner.
In addition, a distinct property number will be given for each real estate unit linked to the precise geospatial information of the properties as the basis for registering ownership, which contributes to the sustainability and enhancement of the real estate sector.
