US crude oil inventories increased during the week ended Nov. 21, indicating weaker demand in the world’s largest economy.

 

Commercial crude stockpiles rose by 2.8 million barrels last week, while estimates pointed to a decline of 1.3 million barrels, according to data released on Nov. 26 by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).

 

Gasoline inventories rose by 2.5 million barrels, and distillate stocks — including diesel and heating oil — climbed by 1.1 million barrels.
