Cristal global company "a 66% owned by Tasnee" awarded the engineering, construction and procurement contracts of the ilmenite treatment project in Jazan economic city to Autotech company as announced today by Tasnee on tadawul.
The EUR 350m project will use the ilmenite to produce slag titanium with an annual capacity of 500,000 tons Upgradeable to 1m tons as well as producing 235,000 tons annually of Pig iron as a byproduct.
The project is financed by bank credit and expected to start operations in 2014.
