A fire that broke out on Saturday at a building being developed by UAE-based Aldar Properties and contractor Arabtec in the Kazakh capital was contained, a Reuters report said citing the Kazakh interior ministry.
The ministry said the blaze was brought under control within six hours and floors 11 to 25 of the Abu Dhabi Plaza were on fire when the firefighters arrived.
No injuries have been reported, the ministry said, adding that the 150 workers had left the construction site. The extent of damage was not immediately clear.
According to the ministry, a heater was the most likely cause of the fire.
Abu Dhabi Plaza is slated to be Central Asia's tallest tower and was scheduled to be complete by the end of this year. The tower will include a hotel as well as residential, retail and office space.
