Ash-Sharqiyah names new chairman after Al Sulaiman quits

Ash-Sharqiyah Development Co. has appointed Ziyad bin Ahmed Al-Rahma as chairman after Mahdi bin Mahdi Al Sulaiman resigned due to other business commitments.

Al-Rahma’s appointment, which is subject to approval at the upcoming general assembly meeting, is effective as of March 13 through April 16, 2017, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.

Al-Rahma holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). He served as the deputy chairman of the Saudi Aquaculture Society and the national committee for global and international education at the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC). Al-Rahma, who is the founder of Red Sea Aquaculture in Saudi Arabia, serves as a board member in several local firms.
