Saudi market: Put-through trade orders reach SAR 840.2 mln in Q1

As many as 52 put-through trade orders worth SAR 840.2 million were executed in the Saudi market in the first quarter of 2016.

In January, nine orders involving 3.9 million shares worth SAR 72.9 million took place, according to Argaam.

In February, 18 transactions of a total of 14.9 million shares valued SAR 477.6 million were executed, while in March, 8.3 million shares were traded in deals worth SAR 289.6 million.

In the first quarter, Arriyadh Development Co. and National Commercial Bank had 7.6 million shares and 5 million shares traded through put-through agreements, respectively.

In the same period, Yansab (Yanbu National Petrochemical Co) topped the list of put-through trades in terms of numbers, followed by Al Tayyar.

Put-Through trades are orders executed when an agreement is set between a buyer and a seller on an agreed number of instruments and price that meets the requirements of the Saudi Stock Exchange, according to Tadawul.
