Nasdaq Dubai announced the listing of two Sukuk totaling $2.5 billion by the government of Indonesia.
The listings took place on March 31 and bring Indonesia’s total value of Sukuk on the exchange to $8.5 billion, the bourse said in a statement released Wednesday.
“Our latest Sukuk issuances confirm Indonesia’s commitment to supporting the Islamic capital markets, and our choice of Nasdaq Dubai for listing provides us with close links to regional and international investors,” said Bambang Bodjonegoro, Indonesian Minister of Finance.
Nasdaq Dubai currently has $39.56 billion in Sukuk listings, while the Dubai Financial Market holds $2.75 billion, making the Emirate the largest exchange globally for Islamic bonds.
