Advanced Petrochemical Company’s PDH Plant in South Korea (SK Advanced Ltd), which produces propylene, started commercial production on May 14, the company said in a bourse statement.
Operations have been running for one month at a designed capacity of 600,000 metric tons p/a of propylene, after the completion of necessary performance tests.
Relevant financial impact will be reflected on Q2 earnings, the company added.
In September 2014, Advanced announced that its 95 percent owned Advanced Global Investment Company (AGIC) had inked a joint venture agreement with SK Gas Co. Ltd. to establish SK Advanced in the Korean city of Ulsan for the production of propylene.
Advanced Global Investment Co., which is 95 percent owned by APC, holds a 30 percent stake in SK Advanced.
