Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Saudi Aramco) has appointed a new vice president for the Southern Area Oil Operations to replace Zuhair Al Hussain who has just resigned, Reuters reported on Wednesday citing industry sources.
The sources added that Khaled Al Buraik, the vice president for oil engineering & development, will replace Al Hussain while Nasir Al Naimi, the vice president for general planning, would occupy Al Buraik’s position.
Al Hussain had been working for the state-owned oil company for over 30 years.
Ghawar Field, which is by far the largest conventional oil field in the world, is located in the Southern Area.
