Alsorayai Trading and Industrial Group Co. said its calcium carbonate plant is expected to start production in July 2017.
The plant was supposed to kick-start operations ten months earlier, however, the delay was attributed to equipment installation and contracting works, the company said in a statement to the Saudi bourse, on which it is listed.
Relevant financial impact will be reflected on earnings of Q4 2017.
Last September, Alsorayai had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Al Jazeera Paints Co. to establish a calcium carbonate factory, data compiled by Argaam showed.
