Yamama Cement Co. on Wednesday signed a SAR 280 million agreement with GAS Arabian Services for the supply of fuel to the company’s new cement plant.
The supply deal will run from Oct. 16 until March 15, 2019, the cement producer said in a statement to Tadawul. No related parties are involved in the deal, it added.
Yamama said that the dates for the trial period and the start of commercial operations at the new plant will be announced later.
In November 2015, Yamama had signed an SAR 4.2 billion contract with Germany's ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions to set up two new cement plants.
The production facilities will operate at a total capacity of 20,000 tons of clinker.
