The National Co. for Glass Industries (Zoujaj) will resume operations at Riyadh plant No. I next Wednesday as scheduled, after completing the reconstruction of the furnace and upgrading the production lines, the company said in a statement to Tadawul on Sunday.
The glass manufacturer added that it expects a 12 percent decline in annual sales, due to this maintenance. The maintenance process costs were estimated at SAR 70 million.
On Sept. 1, Zoujaj had halted production at the plant due to 70-day scheduled maintenance, Argaam reported.
