Tawuniya wins Saudi Airlines medical insurance contract

The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya) has signed a medical insurance deal with Saudi Airlines, effective March 1, the company said in a statement to Tadawul on Thursday.

Tawuniya will provide medical insurance services to the airline’s employees and their families for one year.

The insurer expects the value of this deal to reach 5 percent of its total written premiums for FY16 and its financial impact to show in 2017.  

According to Argaam, five percent of Tawuniya’s written premiums for fiscal year 2016 amounted to SAR 403 million, as its written premiums totaled SAR 8.1 billion.
