In Pictures: Riyadh-Qassim railway to offer business, economy services

Saudi Railway Co. (SAR) will launch regular passenger services on the new railway line connecting Riyadh, Al Majmaah, and Qassim on Sunday, February 26.

 

The new train will provide more efficient business and economy class services, including free WiFi for all commuters.

 

Fares for business class seats are set to be 160 percent to 190 percent higher.

 

The 2,750-kiliometer train will travel from Riyadh up to the northern border town of Hudaitha passing by Sudair, Qassim, Hail and Al-Jouf.

 

It also links the phosphate and bauxite mines in Jelamaid and Baitha with industrial plants in Ras Al-Khair, Jubail and Dammam.
