King Fahd Airport to be converted into company

The board of directors of Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has approved converting King Fahd International Airport in Dammam into a company, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday.

The board also approved executive regulations to protect clients’ rights and reviewed the privatization program of civil aviation units.

Financial statements of civil aviation sector for 2015 and King Khalid International Airport’s financials for 2013 and 2014 were also approved during the meeting held in Riyadh on Friday.

During the meeting, GACA’s board reviewed a strategic planning report and budget for the fiscal year 2017 in addition to a report on major development projects for domestic and international airports.
