Saudi Arabia’s Nomu parallel market index surged 20 percent, or 1,000 points, to 6,000 on debut amid active trading on Sunday.
Volumes traded stood at SAR 256 million.
The seven companies, of which the index is comprises, all rose to their daily limit at 20 percent.
Baazeem Trading Co. was the most actively traded, with 2.4 million shares changing hands in 1,725 transactions.
Abdullah Saad Mohammed Abo Moati Stationery Co. came second, with 2.2 million shares traded in 1,153 transactions.
Meanwhile, Arab Sea Information Systems Co. recorded the lowest trading volume for the day at 39,700 shares, which were traded in seven transactions.
