Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will start an official visit to Saudi Arabia today in response to an invitation from King Salman, according to an official statement.
The summit-level talks are primarily aimed at tackling bilateral and regional issues, while reiterating the need to maintain joint coordination and enhance relations in various fields.
The visit comes after Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Saudi Aramco) resumed deliveries of petroleum products to Egypt last month after about six months of stopping them.
Relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia soured late last year after Egypt voted in favor of a UN resolution in October, which was backed by Russia but opposed by Saudi Arabia.
