Dubai-based Emirates airline made changes for three key management positions in its commercial and cargo operations team in the Middle East, the carrier said in a statement on Monday.
The airline has appointed Abbas A Haji as vice-president for hub operations for SkyCargo in the United Arab Emirates; named Mohamed Khoory as manager of Iran; and appointed Sultan Alriyami as manager of Jordan and West Bank.
Abbas will be managing Emirates SkyCargo’s hub operations in Dubai at Al Maktoum International Airport and Dubai International Airport.
Khoory will oversee Iran operations, moving from his role of manager for Jordan and West Bank, where he headed the market’s commercial and business development activities.
Alriyami will take up Khoory’s role for Jordan and West Bank, helping to drive Emirates commercial priorities in the market as well as build on the airline’s business performance, the statement said.
Emirates’ operations in the Middle East market saw a 3.6 percent increase in revenue in fiscal year 2016-17 over the previous financial year. Emirates SkyCargo carried 2.6 million tonnes in the last financial year.
From Dubai, Emirates has a total of 330 passenger flights per week into 14 Middle East destinations, it said.
