Abu Dhabi-listed telecom operator Etisalat reported a net profit of AED 2.2 billion for the second quarter of 2017, a 6 percent increase year-on-year (YoY) and 7 percent higher compared to Q1.
The first-half profit was up 7 percent YoY to AED 4.2 billion.
Group consolidated operating profit before federal royalty amounted to AED 8.8 billion.
The telco said its UAE subscriber base reached 12.4 million by end of H1, representing YoY increase of 2 percent.
Group consolidated first-half revenues amounted to AED 25.3 billion, while Etisalat UAE revenues amounted to AED 15.4 billion – representing 3 percent increase YoY.
Etisalat has announced interim dividend for the first half of 2017 of AED 0.40 per share.
