Jabal Omar Development Co. and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts have announced plans to launch a new Four Seasons hotel in Makkah as part of the Saudi company’s wider development in the city, Four Seasons said on Thursday.
No information was provided about the value of the deal.
The new facility will be located adjacent to the Grand Mosque.
The Four Seasons Hotel Makkah will be the hotel chain’s second property in the Kingdom, after the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh.
Architectural firm Foster + Partners has been awarded the design contract for the project, the statement added.
The hotel will have 375 guest rooms and suites, as well as 90 private residences.
